New Delhi, from where you will board the super fast train to
Chandigarh. Upon your arrival in Chandigarh, you will be
escorted to your hotel, located in the town. The sightseeing of
today will be a trip to the Rock garden. The Rock Garden here
has almost become a heritage site, with artists and
connoisseurs coming from all parts to see this amazing human
creation. Nestling amidst 20 acres of woods this place is a
fantasy land of art and landscape. Magnificently studded with
almost, surrealist arrangement of rocks, boulders, broken
chinaware, discarded fluorescent tubes, broken and cast away
glass bangles, the place is-all juxtaposed to create a dream
folk world of palaces, soldiers, monkeys, village life, women
and temples. The open air sculptures and concealed gateways
separating them are at places enhanced by a waterfall, pools
and an open air theatre. The evening will be spent in relaxing
at the hotel.
Day 3: Chandigarh to Shimla: (95 km / 4/5 hrs):
Breakfast at the hotel.
We start early in the morning today and drive across from
the plains and up through wooded Himalayan foothills. The
route passes through a number of villages and green fields
and takes us to the lovely hill resort of Shimla. We arrive
in Shimla in the early afternoon and transfer to a charming
hotel. The day today will be spent in playing golf at the
Naldehra course. This lovely turf was founded in the late
1920’s and is located on a spur, crowned by a beautiful
grove of deodar trees and commands a spectacular view of
the Shivalik range. The par 68 course is basically located
in a bowl and has nine holes which can be back played to
18. The longest hole is the sixth at 370 yards; and the
shortest, the fifth, with a yardage of 115. The undulating
landscape demands lofty and sure shots, as a stray ball
would tend to roll off the hillside into the
'out-of-bounds' areas. The greens are extremely fast and
have to be read carefully. We stay on till late evening and
then drive back to the hotel.

Surrounded in myths and folklore, this is perhaps the oldest
fort in the city. Said to be constructed originally over 3,000
years ago, the existing fort was recently improved by the
erstwhile Dogra rulers. From here we drive our way through
serpentine roads, across the green wooded hills and pass
